This hymn encourages a proper constraint on idolatry of the heart, and instead leads us to commit our hearts to Christ. The composer has arranged this version of hymn for Bb trumpet duet at the intermediate level. The melody is shared between parts to allow each player a turn in the spotlight. The arrangement allows for exploration of variation in dynamics and tempo (written range: Clarinet 1 E3 – C6; Clarinet 2 E3 – A5.). Lyrics are included for meditation.
